A small Haflinger foal entered the meadow, palomino coat catching the sun. Although she couldn't be more than seven months old, Sunny Day didn't seem upset by the fact that she had neither a mother or a father. She could look after herself just fine, and, quite frankly, she enjoyed the independence, with nobody babying her, telling her what to do, or ignoring her opinions. She sighed softly, then trotted to the shade of a nearby tree, where she grazed, wondering if there were any other equines in these lands.

Sunny Day raised her head to look around, then snorted There's still nobody else here. These lands really aren't very interesting. she thought. Growing tired of her solitude, she let out a quiet whinny, wincing when she thought of how she must sound like some helpless, immature foal that was looking for a new mommy.
